Accessing In-system Help Resources

NOTICE: Please be advised that the content of this article may only be relevant for users concluding the final stages of course work on eClass or for users on the eClass External system. The eClass Learning Management System is currently in a read-only state that prohibits new courses, enrollments, and users from being added to the site. Credit courses and co-curricular courses at the UofA are now being delivered on Canvas, and full articles on how to use Canvas can be found here.

New users to eClass should be able to learn most of the navigation and basic operations in the system using help materials inside the system. Once signed in, the Using Moodle block should appear in the right-hand column of your screen with quick links to important topics.



If the block is missing from your course, you can re-add it to your Dashboard page. To do this:

  1. Click on Turn editing on, near the top right side of the screen.



  2. Scroll down to the bottom left and click on the Add a block button.



  3. A pop-up menu appears. Select Using Moodle.



There is also a searchable knowledgebase for using eClass available on our support portal.
