UPDATE November 3rd 5PM: The vendor has reported that the fix has been applied for most grades. We have submitted some instances where the grades have not updated for deeper investigation.

Attention Canvas STACK instructors, 

We have been in contact with many of you directly but also wanted to make a broader communication about the problems with incorrect grades being reported for student’s STACK homework attempts.

We reported this issue to the STACK vendor Wednesday October 29th at 5PM and

Atention Canvas STACK users,

The U of A’s Canvas-integrated STACK service will undergo a required version upgrade on Thursday November 13th 2025 from 6:00AM - 9:00AM. This upgrade will resolve the problem where instructors are not able to duplicate their quizzes.

The STACK service will be unavailable during this window.

RESOLUTION: The vendor announced that all services were restored and confirmed functional at 7PM.

Attention Canvas users,

Instructure is currently reporting degraded performance for Canvas due to ongoing issues with their underlying hosting provider AWS. Some users may encounter slow page response times, documents failing to display, or images failing to load.

The vendors are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

UPDATE Sept 23, 1:00PM: The vendor identified an infrastructure bottleneck last night and made further changes to the environment to correct the issue. The service has not experienced continued degradation so far today and the vendor is continuing to monitor for further problems.

UPDATE Sept 22, 2:00PM: Some users have continued to encounter problems over the weekend. The vendor is still actively working on this problem and exploring a number of different causes and solutions. Please be patient
