eClass and Canvas Support
Adding Library Reading Lists

NOTICE: Please be advised that the content of this article may only be relevant for users concluding the final stages of course work on eClass or for users on the eClass External system. The eClass Learning Management System is currently in a read-only state that prohibits new courses, enrollments, and users from being added to the site. Credit courses and co-curricular courses at the UofA are now being delivered on Canvas, and full articles on how to use Canvas can be found here.

Instructors can now create online reading lists with the library and link them on their eClass site using the resource "Library Reading Lists". This will create a comprehensive reading list for a course and can be organized to show readings by topics or weeks with the ability to indicate if readings are required or optional. This tool can provide instructors with data on their reading list usage, allow students to track their readings, as well as ensure students have easy access to the readings.

This service is managed by the Libraries and they have prepared comprehensive documentation on their website. If you need help with this process please contact the library directly at coursemat@ualberta.ca
