The YuJa Mobile app can record both audio and video and upload the resulting recordings to your YuJa media profile.

You can download and install the Yuja Mobile app from the Google Play Store for Android devices and from the Apple App Store for Apple devices.

Logging into YuJa Mobile

Once you have installed the YuJa Mobile app, tap on Org. Name, type "University of Alberta" and tap Next:

Tap the blue button to go to the familiar UofA login page to log in with single sign-on:

Once you have logged in, switch to record mode by tapping the Record button:

Recording Options

In Record mode, you can tap to switch between the front and back cameras of your phone or tablet, choose whether to record video or only audio (bottom), and choose the video resolution (1080p) and the framerate per second (60 fps):

Note: A video recording will always capture audio.

Note: Higher values for framerate and resolution will result in larger files.

Starting a Recording

Tap the round white button to start recording. With a video recording, tapping the red button will stop and save the recording:

With an audio recording, you can pause recording by tapping the pause button, and stop and save the recording by tapping the red button:

Playback and Upload

Tapping in the top third of your screen will open a playback window for both video and audio recordings:

Once you are done recording, you can give your recording a name and a description.

Tapping the Post To My Media Library dropdown menu allows you to upload your recording to any subfolders in your YuJa profile.
