Attention eClass instructors,

UPDATE - Oct. 18th 2017 2PM: Continued investigation into the document conversion problems in assignment grading has determined that a replacement of the current PDF converter is the best option for long-term sustainability and server performance. eClass support has tested a new conversion tool which will be deployed by our hosting provider on Thursday October 19th 2017 at 8:00AM. This deployment is not expected to cause any interruption to service.

Attention ePoll (Beta) users,

ePoll (Beta) will be offline Monday, October 2nd, from 7:00AM to 3:00PM for infrastructure maintenance and an application upgrade.

This outage will improve system performance and introduce changes to some of the question creation and delivery workflows.

Attention eClass users,

eClass went offline for approximately 15 minutes in the afternoon of Friday September 22nd 2017. Users encountered error messages between 1:52 - 2:05PM.

The cause of the outage was a failure of the session caching mechanism on the server.

Attention eClass users,

eClass underwent a major upgrade in June 2017 that included a number of improvements and feature changes. Some of the major changes that will impact instructors and students in Fall 2017 are listed below.

For all users:

• The ‘My Home’ area has been replaced by a new 'Dashboard'
• New location and structure of user profiles

For instructors:

• The assignment grading interface has been overhauled
• A new suite of learning analytics reporting tools is now available

Attention iClicker Users,

This issue was resolved September 7th 2017 at 7AM - students will now see their clicker ID when accessing the registration activity in eClass.

An issue is affecting the iClicker registration activity in eClass. This bug is preventing students from verifying which clicker ID they have registered, even though they have correctly registered their clickers.

When students register an iClicker they will encounter the following behaviour: nothing appears to happen

Attention eClassLive Users,

On September 9th 2017, the current version of the Adobe Connect Add-in (a tool required to use several of the eClassLive features including screen sharing, meeting recording, and others) will cease functioning.

Adobe released a new version of the add-in August 9th 2017 to resolve this issue, which is available for download here. If you have not already installed it, we recommend that you use Firefox to complete this installation, as Chrome’s built-in version of Flash
