Attention eClassLive (Adobe Connect) Users,

Please be aware that in June 2017, we will be performing a major version upgrade to eClassLive (Adobe Connect).

The upgrade will require a full system outage, which has been scheduled for Saturday, June 24th 2017 from 12:00AM until Sunday June 25th at 11:59PM.

This upgrade will introduce a large number of feature improvements to the service and will also resolve a number of minor system issues. The highlights of these changes are as follows:

We are pleased to announce that work has been completed on the beta version of ePoll, the University of Alberta’s web-based student response system (SRS) open to U of A staff and students.

The beta version of the system is available at https://srs.srv.ualberta.ca with the following features:

• A quick polling workflow allows instructors to ask questions relating to existing i>Clicker presentations in powerpoint
• The option to construct polling sessions in advance

Attention eClass and ePortfolio Users,

Some users of eClass may have received an automated email notifying them that their account has been created on the Mahara ePortfolio service even though they have not requested this. This email is legitimate and should not be a cause for concern.

Accounts are being created as a part of a new synchronization feature between eClass and ePortfolios and will not affect users who do not choose to use the ePortfolio service.

Attention eClass users,

There is a scheduled maintenance outage for eClass on May 6th 2017 from 6:00AM - 12:00PM. This outage is required to perform infrastructure maintenance and release several new features in eClass. Some of the new features include:

• New Gamification blocks:
  • Level Up! - This block allows students to receive experience points and gain levels for completing actions within a course.
  • Completion Progress - This block visualizes student progress in a course with a
