eClass Test Server Email Issue Wednesday January 17th 2024

Attention eClass Users,

A server misconfiguration on Wednesday January 17th, 2024 from approximately 1:00AM to 3:00PM caused email messages to be sent from one of the eClass test servers to a small number of instructors and students. These messages were duplicates of real messages from the actual eClass production instance but contained links and allowed access to the test environment.

This misconfiguration has been repaired and the test server has been blocked from further user access. Students or instructors who followed links to the server and entered any data there have been contacted directly and where possible the data has been restored to the eClass production environment.
