eClass Site-Blogging tool To Be Removed January 26th, 2015

Attention eClass users, Please be aware that effective January 26th 2015, the eClass site-wide blogging tool will be disabled. The decision to disable this tool has been made by the eClass Change Advisory Board due to concerns that blog posts made for specific course contexts are available to the broader U of A community. The removal of this feature will only affect users who have posted through their Profile blogging tool or the ‘Add an entry about this course’ link in the Blog Menu block in their course; this change will not affect any posts made in course forums. The following documentation is available describing alternatives for instructors who would like to continue using blogging in their course: Course Blogging in eClass If any user has posted work to their blog that they want to retain a copy of, they will need to copy their content off of their blog before January 26, 2015. For instructions on how to do this, please see the following: Preserving eClass Site Blog Content If you have any questions regarding this change, please contact us at eclass@ualberta.ca Regards, | |
