Attention eClass Users,
The latest eClass update is now live and has implemented the following changes in the system:
New Features
- Assignment PDF file submissions can now be annotated directly in-system to provide in-line feedback without downloading the file. For more information on this feature see here.
- Question banks can now be sorted by question creation/modification date.
- Improvements to forum subscription and read tracking processes.
- New Quiz question type: Drag and Drop Into Text (this can be used to facilitate 'ranking' questions).
- Instructors and administrators can now permanently remove courses from their course list through the new Archiving feature in the Course Management block. For more information on this feature see here.
Bug Fixes
- Un-ordered lists are now styled correctly in the eClass HTML editor.
- In the Gradebook, new items will no longer be automatically marked as 'Extra Credit' when using the Simple Weighted Mean aggregation method.
- In the Gradebook, changing grade categories from 'Natural' to 'Weighted Mean of Grades' will no longer automatically mark a grade item as 'Extra Credit'.
- The 'Enrolled Users' page no longer displays unnecessary sorting fields.
- Uploading feedback into the gradebook from a .csv file will no longer automatically overwrite locally assigned grades.
- The 'bulk insert' feature for empty grades in the 'Single View' of the gradebook will no longer overwrite non-empty grades.
- Anonymous responses in Feedback activities no longer populate Recent Activity reports.
- The Recent Activity block no longer reveals student names when assignment blind marking is active.
- Improvements to MathJAX rendering in CLOZE question types.
- The eClass HTML editor should now properly render fractional characters.
Performance improvements
- System performance while running the Course Participation Report has been improved.
- System performance while re-grading large gradebooks has been improved.
