NOTICE: Please be advised that the content of this article may only be relevant for users concluding the final stages of course work on eClass or for users on the eClass External system. The eClass Learning Management System is currently in a read-only state that prohibits new courses, enrollments, and users from being added to the site. Credit courses and co-curricular courses at the UofA are now being delivered on Canvas, and full articles on how to use Canvas can be found here.
Each eClass course is organized into a series of content sections on the main course page. The heading area of each content section can be edited with titles that help organize the distinct sections of your course. Content section titles can only contain simple text, however, the title summary description can act as a subtitle, header or content block allowing you to include images, horizontal bars, links, HTML, etc.
These content section titles are different from labels because they are associated with a specific section, whereas labels can be added in any topic of your course and can be re-positioned to anywhere within particular topics - titles always remain at the top of a content block.
