With spring term rapidly approaching and classes set to continue with fully remote delivery, we recommend that instructors: 

- Review the tools and services available for Moving Courses Online.

- Select and test a mechanism for meeting synchronously with students. 

- Consider pre-recording their lectures.

- Determine how previous assessments may need to be altered for remote delivery.

- Check the available training options.

This is a reminder that there will be a scheduled maintenance outage for eClass on Saturday, May 2nd 2020 from 12:00AM to 11:59PM (24 hours). This outage is required to perform infrastructure maintenance and upgrade eClass to a new version.

As classes come to a close and our focus shifts to final assessments, we wanted to provide you an update on how eClass has performed through the transition to online delivery.

eClass has had roughly 1.3 million user sessions with 11 million page views and an average of 34,000 active daily users. Our busiest day was March 17th, where the total number of users who accessed eClass was 40,648. For comparison, this is still less than the total number of users who

Thanks to everyone who continues to provide feedback and ask questions about using Zoom. For basic usage, the Center for Teaching and Learning has provided a list of helpful suggestions. 

The feedback we’ve received has prompted us to make the following changes:

• The location information for telephone access to meeting audio has been changed to default to Canada. Please note that our license does not include a toll-free dial-in option.

Attention ExamLock users,

Some users who have updated to the latest version of Chrome (80+) may encounter a problem viewing and creating exam sessions when accessing the ExamLock manager in eClass. Affected users will see a blank screen when accessing the manager from their course. This issue stems from a recent security change in the latest version of Chrome relating to cross-site embedding.
