Attention Zoom users,

Thanks to everyone who continues to provide feedback and ask questions about using Zoom. For basic usage, the Center for Teaching and Learning has provided a list of helpful suggestions. 

The feedback we’ve received has prompted us to make the following changes:

• The location information for telephone access to meeting audio has been changed to default to Canada. Please note that our license does not include a toll-free dial-in option.

Attention ExamLock users,

Some users who have updated to the latest version of Chrome (80+) may encounter a problem viewing and creating exam sessions when accessing the ExamLock manager in eClass. Affected users will see a blank screen when accessing the manager from their course. This issue stems from a recent security change in the latest version of Chrome relating to cross-site embedding.

There will be a scheduled maintenance outage for the Stream2 lecture recording service Sunday March 22nd 2020 from 6:00AM - 8:00AM. This outage is required by the vendor to release some minor bug fixes and add two features we have requested (video title/description editing and live captioning). Stream2 will not be available as a link through eClass for the duration of the outage window.

Attention eClass Instructors,

With the shift to online course delivery, we are seeing record usage of eClassLive (Adobe Connect) that has impacted system performance for some users.

At this time, we strongly recommend that instructors not already using Adobe Connect choose one of the other two available alternatives for synchronous course delivery: Zoom or Google Meet.

We also recommend that instructors already using Adobe Connect be prepared for the event of technical difficulties
