Attention eClass Users,

Please be aware that in June 2019, we will be performing a major version upgrade to eClass. This upgrade will introduce a variety of bug fixes and feature improvements across the site.

The upgrade will require a full system outage, which has been scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd 2019 from 12:00AM until Sunday June 23rd at 11:59PM (48 hours).

In collaboration with IST and the Centre for Teaching and Learning, the SU is running a survey to obtain a student perspective on how eClass is being used and how well it is meeting student needs.

The data collected from this survey will help IST's eClass Support team improve the system and inform any future initiatives to make changes to the service.

The survey is open to all students at the University of Alberta. It should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Attention eClass Users,

RESOLVED: February 15th, 10:45AM - eClass developers and our hosting provider determined the cause of the issue and repaired it. Forum post emails are now processing correctly and have begun being sent to users. It may take several hours for all the messages accumulated over the interruption period to be mailed out.

UPDATE: February 14th, 2019, 4:00PM - eClass support developers are continuing to investigate but no solution is available at this time.

UPDATE: eClass is now available - the maintenance outage was completed early and the site was released on January 5th 2019 at 8:00AM.

This is a reminder that there will be a scheduled maintenance outage for eClass from Saturday January 5th, 2019 12:00AM through Sunday January 6th, 2019 11:59PM. This outage is required to perform annual system maintenance and release updates to

Attention iClicker users,

Starting in July 2019, iClicker will no longer be supported as a student response system (SRS) at the University of Alberta. iClicker base stations will be removed from labs and classrooms and technical support for iClickers will no longer be provided by IST.

This decision has been made based off of feedback to replace iClicker with a web accessible system that is free to use, integrated with eClass, and does not require students to purchase a separate device.
