Attention eClass Users,

To accommodate the move to online course delivery, we are now providing support for three new services that have been integrated into eClass.

Zoom meetings are now available to deliver online lectures as an alternative to Google Meet and eClass Live (Adobe Connect). This tool can be embedded by instructors into eClass courses to provide easy meeting access to students.

Please be aware that there will be a brief eClass outage on Monday March 16th, 2020 from 12:00AM (Midnight) until 1:00AM. We are using this brief outage to expand the performance capacity of eClass in anticipation of additional usage in the coming weeks.

eClass and eClassLive will be unavailable throughout the maintenance window.

Attention eClass users,

IST will be performing infrastructure updates to its load balancers on Friday Feb. 21st from Midnight until 4:00AM. This change will affect CCID sign-ins to all services including eClass; eClassLive (Adobe Connect) sessions will also be impacted.

For the duration of the 4-hour maintenance window, users may experience up to a 30 minute interruption for these services.

UPDATE: As per this announcement, the CCID login service will not be affected by the previously announced outage. eClass users should no longer be impacted by this change.

The University of Alberta CCID login service will be undergoing maintenance on Feb. 19th, 2020 from 10:00PM - Feb. 20th, 2020 1:00AM. 

All users attempting to log in to central services, including eClass, Google, and Beartracks will be unable to log in during this window.

Update: The upgrade has been completed early at 2:00PM and eClass has been released.

Please be aware that in May 2020, we will be performing a major version upgrade to eClass. This upgrade will introduce a variety of feature improvements and bug fixes across the site.

The upgrade will require a full system outage, which has been scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd 2020 from 12:00AM to 11:59PM (24 hours).
