Attention eClass users,

eClass requires regularly scheduled outages to perform necessary updates and maintenance on specific dates designed to minimize the impact on the majority of users.

For the coming year, full 24-hour maintenance windows for eClass and eClassLive are scheduled for the following dates:

• August 24th, 2019
• January 4th, 2020
• May 2nd, 2020 - Major Upgrade
• June 20th, 2020

Each 24-hour outage will run from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM unless otherwise posted. eClass and eClassLive

UPDATE: eClass is now available - the maintenance outage was completed early and the site was released at 10:15 on June 22nd 2019.

Attention iClicker users,

This is a reminder that starting in summer term 2019, iClicker will no longer be supported as a student response system (SRS) at the University of Alberta. iClicker base stations will be removed from labs and classrooms and technical support for iClickers will no longer be provided by IST.

Spring 2019 is the last term iClicker users will continue to have full support and access to existing base stations.

The UAlberta Login service, which is used for central authentication at the University of Alberta, will be undergoing maintenance on May 22, 2019 from 10:00PM - 11:30PM.

All users attempting to log in to central services, including eClass, Google, EDRMS, and Beartracks will be unable to log in during this window.

We have an important announcement that may impact your courses on eClass.

The annual scheduled archiving of credit courses for this year has been planned for May 27th, 2019. This process, described in more detail here, mandates that credit courses can only remain on eClass for a maximum duration of four years. Non-credit courses including sandboxes, content development templates, research/collaboration courses, and eClass External courses are not affected by

Attention eClass Users,

Please be aware that in June 2019, we will be performing a major version upgrade to eClass. This upgrade will introduce a variety of bug fixes and feature improvements across the site.

The upgrade will require a full system outage, which has been scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd 2019 from 12:00AM until Sunday June 23rd at 11:59PM (48 hours).
