UPDATE: eClass is now available - the maintenance outage was completed early and the site was released at 12:45PM June 23rd.

Attention eClass users,

This is a reminder that there will be a scheduled maintenance outage for eClass on June 23rd 2018 from 12:00AM through June 24th 2018 11:59PM. This outage is required to perform infrastructure maintenance and a major upgrade to eClass.

RESOLVED: eClass Impacts of Peoplesoft Outage June 15th 2018

Attention eClass Users,

This outage was resolved at 6:30PM Friday June 15th and full service was restored.

The U of A is currently experiencing an outage in Bear Tracks (Peoplesoft). During this interruption, users will not be able to perform any of the following eClass functions:

  • Export their gradebooks in Bear Tracks format - users will encounter a “Primary service component” error.
  • Request new eClass courses - users will receive an error if they try to log into the eClass Course

eClass Support Portal Upgrade

Attention eClass users,

This is an alert that there will be a scheduled maintenance outage for the eClass Support portal on Tuesday, May 29th from 9:00AM - 1:00PM. The server infrastructure will be upgraded during this outage.

During the outage users may experience intermittent slow performance and/or pages may fail to load in the Knowledge Base for eClass. In addition, links that point to the eClass support portal (for example, the ‘Help’ link inside of eClass) will not function during

eClass Scheduled Course Archiving May 2018

Attention eClass users,

We have an important announcement that may impact your courses on eClass.

The annual scheduled archiving of credit courses for this year has been planned for May 30th, 2018. This process, described in detail here, mandates that credit courses can only remain on eClass for a maximum duration of four years. Non-credit courses including sandboxes, content development templates, research/collaboration courses, and eClass External courses are not affected by this

UPDATE: eClass is now available - the maintenance outage was completed early and the site was released at 8:20AM.

 

Attention eClass users,

This is a reminder that there will be a scheduled maintenance outage for eClass on May 5th 2018 from 12:00AM - 11:59PM. This outage is required for our hosting provider to perform infrastructure maintenance.

Please note that while we have booked a full 24 hour maintenance window, eClass will be available as soon as the required infrastructure changes

ePortfolio (Mahara) Outage Wednesday May 2nd 2018

Attention ePortfolio users,

There will be a scheduled ePortfolio (Mahara) outage Wednesday May 2nd 2018 from 7:00AM to 10:00AM for a system upgrade. Both the system infrastructure and the application version will be upgraded during this outage.

The new application version contains a number of general bug and security fixes, as well as functional changes and interface improvements. Highlights of the functional changes include:
