eClass Major Outage Schedule 2023-2024

Attention eClass users,

eClass requires regularly scheduled outages to perform necessary updates and maintenance on specific dates designed to minimize the impact to the majority of users.

For the coming year, full 24-hour maintenance windows for eClass are scheduled for the following dates:

  • August 26th, 2023
  • January 6th, 2024
  • May 4th 2024
  • June 22nd, 2024 - Major Upgrade

Each outage will run from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM unless otherwise posted. eClass will be unavailable for the duration of each

eClass Emergency Outage Saturday July 1st 2023 2:00AM - 8:00AM

Attention eClass users,

Please be aware that there will be an eClass outage on Saturday July 1st 2023 from 2:00 AM to 8:00 AM. This outage is required by our hosting provider to perform urgent system maintenance.

eClass will be unavailable throughout the maintenance window.

Please note that while we have booked a 6-hour maintenance window, eClass will be available as soon as the required changes are completed.

UPDATE: The eClass outage is complete. The changes were completed early and eClass was released at 4:25PM. 

Attention eClass users,

This is a reminder that there will be a scheduled maintenance outage for eClass on Saturday, June 24th 2023 from 12:00AM to 11:59PM (24 hours). This outage is required to perform infrastructure maintenance and a major version upgrade on eClass.

UPDATED: AWS Outage June 13th 2023

UPDATE: The AWS outage has been resolved and Edufide services are now functioning normally.

Attention eClass Users,

Amazon Web Services is reporting a service degradation. This outage is currently affecting Edufide’s Assign2 and Smart Exam Monitor (SEM) tools. 

AWS analysts are currently working to resolve the issue.

There will be a maintenance outage for eClass External on Thursday, June 8th 2023 from 2:00AM - 2:30AM. This short outage is required to perform a minor infrastructure change.

eClass Scheduled Course Archiving 2023

Attention eClass users,

We have an important announcement that may impact your older credit courses on eClass.

The annual scheduled archiving of credit courses for this year has been scheduled for May 26th, 2023. This process, described in more detail here, mandates that credit courses can only remain on eClass for a maximum duration of four years. Non-credit courses including sandboxes, content development templates, research/collaboration courses, and eClass External courses are not
