Attention Canvas Instructors,

Several new features and changes will be taking effect starting in December 2025 across the Digital Learning Environment (DLE).

Scantron Export Improvements

TSQS has re-formatted their scantron instructor export sheets so that they can be more easily uploaded into Canvas. The former process involved rebuilding the spreadsheet but the basic TSQS export files (with or without the comments selected) can now be directly imported into course gradebooks. Exports with comments will still need to use the custom-built Bulk Uploader tool to import the TSQS ‘Wrong answers’ and ‘Scored Responses’ columns.

Survey functionality in New Quizzes

During the Canvas scheduled deployment on Thursday December 18th, 2025, the vendor will be deploying ‘Survey’ functionality into New quizzes. This option will allow instructors to collect anonymous or non-anonymous feedback from students and to optionally provide scores. This new functionality can be viewed as a functional replacement for the eClass Feedback activity.

Assign2 Improvements

Assign2 will be releasing two new assessment types as well as improvements to the item analysis in scanned MCQ exams. Service End of Life Reminders

As announced previously, the ExamLock service will be decommissioned on December 31st, 2025. The ePoll service will also be decommissioned on December 31, 2025.
