RESOLVED: Canvas Quiz Review Issues March 2nd 2026

RESOLVED March 4th, 2026, 9:30AM: Instructure has released a hotfix that has repaired this problem. Students will no longer see the 'Access denied' error when reviewing completed quizzes that have 'Until' dates applied.

UPDATE March 4th, 2026, 8:00AM: Instructure is validating a solution but have advised that there is additional complexity since student permissions are involved. They have not been able to provide a timeline for the fix being released.

Canvas SCORM Tool Scheduled Maintenance Outages February 4 and 11, 2026

Attention Canvas Users,

Our vendor has announced two upcoming maintenance periods that are required to update all SCORM content and activities in Canvas. This work will be completed in two phases during the following time windows:

  • February 4, 2026, from 8:00 PM to Midnight
  • February 11, 2026, from 8:00 PM to Midnight

During these windows, Canvas SCORM will be unavailable. All other Canvas functionality is expected to remain fully operational.

RESOLVED: UofA Internet Service Disruption

UPDATE: Services were restored at 3:30PM. IST analysts are continuing to monitor all systems.

Attention Canvas Users,

The U of A is currently experiencing degraded internet connectivity with many sites partially or completely inaccessible. Users who are already signed in to Canvas may be able to continue working but it is currently not possible to access the U of A single sign-on service.

Analysts are working to get services restored as soon as possible.
