The use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in teaching and learning is becoming more and more commonplace but comes with both opportunities and risks. Instructors at the U of A should be familiar with the institution's guide to Using Artificial Intelligence, specifically the Framework for the Responsible Use of AI at the University of Alberta and Artificial Intelligence Data Safety Guidelines for the University of Alberta. This article describes the various tools available within Canvas and best practices for using them. Contents:
