Attention eClass users,

We have received a number of questions about the upcoming Peoplesoft outage and want to clarify that this will have no impact on regular eClass activity.

A number of system integrations that rely on Peoplesoft data will not be functioning during this period, including the eClass Section management (Course Creation) system, user synchronization scripts, and the Bear Tracks grade export. Attention eClass users,

Please be aware that eClass will require an outage on Saturday October 29th 2016 from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This outage is required to release a number of improvements to eClass.

The changes introduced with this update include:

• A new assignment submission type will be added to allow students to submit forum posts to an assignment. This feature allows instructors to use the advanced grading methods available in assignment activities to grade student forum posts.

Attention eClass users,

Please be aware that eClass will require an emergency outage on Tuesday, October 25th 2016 from 12:30AM to 2:30AM. This outage is required by our hosting provider to perform urgent infrastructure maintenance.

eClass and eClassLive will be unavailable for the duration of this outage.

Attention ePortfolio (Mahara) Users,

The Mahara ePortfolio service will be unavailable on Monday September 26th 2016 from 10:00PM to 11:59PM. This outage is required to perform infrastructure maintenance to increase system performance.

This outage only affects the Mahara ePortfolio service. eClass and eClassLive will NOT be affected by this outage.

Attention eClass Instructors,

Now that Fall term 2016 is underway, many eClass instructors have noticed that their course lists have continued to grow longer. If you have been teaching in eClass for a number of years or are an administrator involved in numerous courses per term, you may wish to remove courses from your Course Overview list. This can now be accomplished using the new self-serve archiving process available in the Course Management block.
