UPDATE: The course creation system has resumed processing courses and the backlog will be cleared as soon as possible.

The eClass Course Creation service is currently experiencing an issue that is preventing new course requests from being processed. This issue is also affecting the Import feature (and other backup/restore operations) in eClass.

Welcome back staff, faculty, and students for the Fall 2023 U of A semester! All users should be aware of the following changes that have occurred in the digital learning environment over the summer: 

• eClass went through a major upgrade that updated the look of the site and improved the user interface. Notable functional changes include improved workflows for creating print copies of exams and the ability to easily communicate course content changes to students.

There will be a scheduled maintenance outage for eClass on Saturday, August 26th 2023 from 12:00AM - 11:59PM (24 hours). This outage is required to perform a minor version update and apply bug fixes to eClass.

eClass requires regularly scheduled outages to perform necessary updates and maintenance on specific dates designed to minimize the impact to the majority of users.

For the coming year, full 24-hour maintenance windows for eClass are scheduled for the following dates:
