ExamLock Version Update January 22nd 2024

Attention ExamLock users,

A new version of ExamLock was released Monday January 22nd, 2024 at 9:00AM. This release addresses a number of bugs in the client application, completes the transition to the new version of the session manager tool, and improves the processes surrounding exam attempt restarts.

This version has been updated in all on-campus labs and all student devices will be required to pull the new version the next time the application is launched.

eClass Test Server Email Issue Wednesday January 17th 2024

Attention eClass Users,

A server misconfiguration on Wednesday January 17th, 2024 from approximately 1:00AM to 3:00PM caused email messages to be sent from one of the eClass test servers to a small number of instructors and students. These messages were duplicates of real messages from the actual eClass production instance but contained links and allowed access to the test environment.

This misconfiguration has been repaired and the test server has been blocked from further user

eClass Announcements for Winter 2024

Attention eClass users,

Welcome back staff, faculty, and students for the Winter 2024 semester! All users should be aware of the following changes that have occurred over the winter break:

  • The eClass update has fixed a number of known issues including the return of IP-restricted quiz reviews and a fix to an editing issue caused by non-standard characters in file names.
  • A number of fixes have been added for the Dark theme
  • A different conversion library has been installed to improve

UPDATE: The eClass outage is complete. The changes were completed early and eClass was released at 3:00AM.

Attention eClass users,

There will be a scheduled maintenance outage for eClass on Saturday, January 6th 2024 from 12:00AM - 11:59PM (24 hours). This outage is required to perform an update and complete infrastructure changes for eClass. 

Please note that while we have booked a 24 hour maintenance window, eClass will be available as soon as the required changes are complete. We will
