UPDATE: Problems with eClass Quizzes

Attention eClass Instructors, We are pleased to report that the maintenance outage on Saturday March 22nd, 2014 has addressed the recent page load delays and has improved overall system performance in eClass. While we are still monitoring the system closely, early statistics have shown a return to a normal level of load and 3 large quizzes taken Monday March 24th, 2014 were completed without incident. Attention eClass Users, Please be aware that there will an outage for eClass (Moodle) on Saturday, March 22nd, 2014 from 3:00AM to 9:00AM. During this outage, CTL will be making changes to eClass to improve system performance by shortening the page load times throughout eClass. Problems with eClass Quizzes

Attention eClass Instructors, eClass (powered by Moodle) has been experiencing periodic high load events on the server, which may affect large simultaneous quizzes. If you have a quiz with more than 50 students simultaneously attempting it, you should consider the following workarounds for better system response time:

Attention eClass Users, Please be aware that there will be 2 separate outages for eClass (Moodle) on Saturday, March 15th, 2014: - From 7:00 to 9:00 AM, CTL will be updating the eClass login page. The system will be completely unavailable during this time so please do not schedule any teaching or learning activities. - From 10:00PM Saturday to 2:00 AM Sunday March 16th, the hosting provider has a scheduled a 4-hour window for server maintenance. eClass Assignment Upload Incident

Attention eClass Users, On Thursday March 6th 2014, the addition of an analytics tool to eClass caused some users to have problems selecting files to upload into assignment dropboxes. The problems were caused by collisions between the javascript in eClass and the added tool. The problem was identified at 2:00PM and resolved at 2:45PM. eClass Hosting Provider Maintenance

Attention eClass Users, The eClass hosting provider has a scheduled a 4-hour maintenance window from 10:00 PM on Saturday, March 15th, 2014 to 2:00 AM on Sunday March 16th, 2014. The upgrade should have a minimal impact on eClass but some users may notice a slow response during the maintenance window.
