Attention eClass and Canvas users,

Welcome back staff, faculty, and students as we embark on the first semester of the U of A’s transition to our new LMS! It will be an exciting time as early adopters begin to use Canvas and many others prepare for the Winter 2025 launch. At the same time, eClass will host most Fall 24 courses and will continue to be supported. Updates on these different phases of the overall project are available on the Ticket to Launch website.

Canvas early adopters launching in Fall 2024 should continue to check the key changes in Canvas as new issues will continue to be added there. Instructors should also ensure they understand the processes underlying student access to courses and may also want to provide their students additional guidance on accessing Canvas.

As more new instructors users begin to explore Canvas this term, they can use the following knowledge articles to help make a smooth transition:

eClass users can access their courses as usual and continue to get self-serve support through the eClass our knowledge portal.

• The YuJa Terms of Service have been updated to reflect new user quotas of 150GB for instructors and 100GB for students.
