Stream2 Known Issues

This article lists the current known issues and technical problems in Stream2 that are currently under investigation or have already been reported to the vendor for repairs.

Issue Summary Known Workarounds

Some large videos do not fully upload and display the error message "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported" when embedding or previewing. 

The vendor has confirmed the problem and added it to their product backlog. 

It is not possible to make recordings using Safari.

Users can switch to Chrome or Firefox. This issue has been reported to the vendor.

It is not possible to rename a recording or edit a description for existing recordings.

Resolved. This feature was released March 22nd.

It is not possible to edit recordings.

This feature is not possible with the LTI only version of Stream2.

An upload error occurs for certain recordings that are launched from Chrome on windows and that selecting specific applications or windows to record.

This issue is being investigated.

There is no way to restart a recording (if your computer were to crash)  This issue is has been reported.
Closed captions are not enabled on this tool. Resolved. This feature was released March 22nd.
File segmenting issue affecting buffering. Resolved. This feature was released March 22nd.

Stream2 code does not work when pasted into HTML editor in eClass

Paste the Stream2 code prior to switching to the HTML editor. Once the code is pasted you can switch to using the HTML editor if necessary for formatting.
